Enigin Stories

Books your Boss Doesn’t Want you to Read I

At Enigin many us enjoy reading, particularly by entrepreneurs who have overcome many challenges to succeed, or others who have found a method that works well for all businesses.

We encourage many Enigin Distributors to read the same books, or let us know of similar writings that they have enjoyed and have been a benefit for them in running a business.

But here is a list of books your boss wouldn’t want you to read - some reveal the corporate underbelly or explain how you can get ahead without your manager’s blessing. Others encourage behaviour that, while fun and profitiable for you, are guaranteed to drive your manager nuts.

ENIGIN POSES THE QUESTION ‘No Fuel, like an old Fuel’?

posted by enigin in General

I half heartedly agree with that. Halfheartedly because the ‘Old Fuel’ (play on words naturally) conjures up those roaring crackling fires of yesteryear that would spark into life and warm and unite the family group trying to keep warm on a cold and frosty night.

The fuel that would smoke its way into the atmosphere billowing up through the chimneys of every house in every land chocking the environment and effortlessly moving towards the ozone. All of this was complete oblivion to us ‘Old Fuel’ users, the need to stay warm was our only consideration.

Come Fly With Me

By Steve Hill

At Enigin we are involved with travel in one way or another. Whether it is potential or new Enigin Distributors flying to see us in the UK oe we are travelling to see them, we of course have to travel and usually fly.

I know there will be peopl who will hoild their hands up in horror and say that it is now good for the environment, well we do try to limit the extent of travel but unfortunately there is no way around it, and at least we are cetain to offset the emissions produced through setting up Enigin Distributorships, through which major reductions in greenhouse gas emmisions will be achieved by helping businesses and organisations save on energy use.

Fish, Fish and More Fish

Here in South west England, where Enigin are based, we have the largest marine aquarium, that is Plymouth National Marine Aquarium. As a family we visited it last week with our 17month old son - who loved it. We had a weeks holiday which we spent as a family, however during the week with children at school etc, this tourist spot was lovely and empty.

At Home Olympics

With longer days and colder weather we need more entertaining indoors. Many people have gotten into the habit of watching TV, playing computer games, and generally not communicating with others. So why not try something different this winter.

It is a time when energy costs can rise through heating and lighting, rather than cooling. At Enigin we are concerned with saving energy summer and winter and out technology reflects that view. We have ideal energy saving solutions for commerce and industry, but for now I am thinking of warm, dark winter nights indoors at home.

Local is Best

posted by enigin in Uncategorized

A lot of people are keeping it local nowadays. Whether it is holidays, trips out or even food. Locally produced, especially organic, food is what people are after. Farmers markets, local produce and locally grown is becoming all the rage.

You can even do it yourself! Yesterday we went for a lovely country walk, straight from our house, down by the river and picked blackberries for a homemade crumble! It was a very pleasant afternoon spent, coming home with tubs full of blackberries and purple fingers! But it was so satisfying knowing that we had spent the time in the fresh air picking this lovely fruit for our dessert ourselves.

Save Energy - Stay Home

This year many people are taking vacations at home. There are so many things to do in and around our localities which we could all make more use of.

Whether it is travelling to a holiday nearby for perhaps a camping holiday, or a small break in a hotel. The time and energy this can save us all makes a holiday so much more relaxing and enjoyable.

Just Fly Away

Well we are half away through summer. Here in the UK we have had the World Cup and Wimbledon, they have come and gone, with no winner from the UK, of course.

But now summer holidays have begun. Children are out and about on their bikes, playing around the houses. Parents taking time off work to spend with their children, taking them out on day trips with many people going of on their summer holidays to exotic places.

It is just too awful

posted by enigin in Uncategorized

Well the mood here at Enigin Plc wasn’t too cheery this morning. Here in the UK we had a wonderful, hot summers weekend. People enjoyed the beach, bbqs, sun and being with friends. What they didn’t enjoy was the shambles that was the last England game of the World Cup 2010.

There are constant news flashes coming up all day today speculating at reasons for such an awful defeat, the shocking disallowing of the 2nd England goal, whether the coach Fabio Cappello will leave. And most people ask “did you see it” and quickly follow the question with “I don’t want to talk about it”. And yet we all still do, its impossible not to.

Hard not to go over how bad it was, how embarrassing it was, how the England players appeared to not be bothered at their shocking defeat. But then didn’t we all know it would end like this? It always does.

So I think now its time to move on, quickly and surely. Get past is, forget about it and enjoy the rest of the summer. And maybe even the possibility of winning at Wimbledon instead! Who knows, we have to get somewhere, at some point surely.
