Don’t Look Back in Anger!
“They were the good old days, remember them? When there was nothing but woods and trees, and people, yes people were good to one another, and music well that was something else.” People love to reminisce and often look at the past through rose tinted glasses. Historians will tell you that ‘looking back’ has enormous value because it helps us see how we have got to today and how we can avoid repeating the mistakes of the past. Weather or not the good old days were actually the bad old, good old days is a blog for another time, but it is true to say, and I’m sure you will agree, that by looking at what we have done previously we can gauge our progress and current status.
I would hate to trivialize that grand entrance into todays blog, but this is also true when it comes to our energy consumption, lets think globally for a moment, great efforts are put into calculating the global consumption, I’m sure the best estimates still have a fair error factor, but there is no doubt demand is huge and increasing, and by the looks of things it will not stop increasing anytime soon. So what do we learn from looking back, we learn that demand will outstrip supply if hasn’t done so already, hence saving and conserving energy becomes ever more important and evermore valuable.
These facts make me glad to be part of Enigin, they believe in Energy Saving and making Profit with Integrity. Simply put from what I can see there is no better or more secure sector to be in right now, history tells us this is true. So what the future holds we can’t know for certain, but in ten to fifteen years time I will be glad to ‘look back’ and say I was involved in this energy saving sector when it mattered most.
