ENIGIN HELP CHARITY IN NEED

posted by enigin in Uncategorized

I can hardly believe another week has flown by, this time last week was ‘Children in Need’ and Terry Wogan, Pudsey and his gang were pleading with us to ‘give give give’.  Well unbeknown to the world of media I was in fact hosting my own Charity evening trying to raise funds towards a development much closer to home here in St Austell Cornwall. The building of a Childrens Hospice, where building is due to start in 2010.  So with that in mind I asked the Directors of Enigin if a donation to my event would be in order.  Well the Enigin Generosity came to the fore and I was thrilled that the Directors wanted to help with the ongoing support of the Hospice by offering to not only give an Eniscope, but install it, maintain it for a year, plus train and support someone to fully understand and utilise the energy savings this will undoubtably bring to the running costs of the Hospice.  Thank you seems inadequate for such a generous gift, not the gift of money, but the gift to save money, not just a gift, but an Enigin legacy for which money indeed cannot buy.  For the £700.00 I raised they were always going to need toilet rolls!

Enigin Dinosaur Blags a Blog!

Hi, well I sat with Hi for a good 10 minutes! before I pushed the Enigin boat out to welcome you to my blog, climb aboard all those who do not get seasick and hopefully enjoy the ride.  The reason I say this is because although I may think this an exciting adventure, I realise that after my first edition of information may, I have many of you escapiing overboard quicker than it took the Titanic to sink.  What does the Enigin Blog mean to me, well letting me chat in anyway shape or form is always an agreeable proposition, I love to talk and being on reception really enjoy meeting and greeting all who visit Enigin.  That being said I would like to think there is more to me than a continual monolgue of useless information, although I may now have to work harder to prove that.  As one of the Oldest Enigin employees I am looking forward to enlightening the younger generation on certain things that they may never of heard of, whilst they will take great delight in dragging my jurassic self into the 21st century of IT.  Is it me or before anyone had heard of the Carbon Footprint, we actually used Carbon paper in offices, well the younger generation had no idea what a carbon piece of paper was, and yet despite all the modern technologies available to us, I actually needed a piece of carbon paper for the office manager, Linzi, receipt book.  Now please don’t even get me started on Dolls eye switchboards and Olympia manual typewriters…. yep I’m really old. Well I would continue to keep you all enthralled with my witty new enigin blog, but I can hear the enigin coffee machine calling and thats once machine that is precious to the whole of the Enigin Staff!  I have exciting new additions to fill you in on too, our Senior Business Manager Ben has just had the call to flee by his pregnant wifes side, two days overdue… the new edition may indeed be a Thursday Child ‘has far to go’..
